Emmanuel Macron unveiled its presidential program this week. Among the proposals, there is the desire to greatly facilitate access to the electric car. The Head of State recalled the success of the scrapping bonus, relaunched at the start of his five-year term, which benefited one million French people.
But even with this boost, doubled for the most modest, and the ecological bonus, it is still difficult or even impossible for many motorists to switch to electric, a solution however vaunted to escape the soaring prices in gas stations. service.
During a broadcast on TF1, Emmanuel Macron himself said “I prefer to accompany our compatriots to help them buy vehicles that consume less fuel rather than continuing to pay part of their full tank of gas”.
The candidate Macron therefore promises the establishment of a leasing system with electric vehicles at less than €100 per month. Le Monde explains that the designers of the president’s program worked with builders and rental companies to develop this long-term rental.
Leasing would be done in partnership with private partners and not directly by the State. The latter will be financial support. The system would be launched in 2023, with an envelope of 50 million euros, which would finance 100,000 cars in the first year. The system will primarily target young people, socio-medical professionals and low-income households who cannot do without a car to go to work.
The Macon candidate would like to favor vehicles assembled in France… but they are very rare at such prices. We think above all of the Renault Zoé.
