Cancer: Red Nose denies INSABI about shortage of medicine

At International Day Against Childhood Cancer, Red Nose, Civil Associationraised his voice before a transparency report from the Federal Government and the National Institute of Health for Welfare (INSABI) which indicates that in Jalisco the shortage of medicines is only 55%, this indicates that it is a lie, since for them there continues to be genocide of infants and people with the disease in the absence of medicines and they have even denied themselves since in 2021 they indicated that in the entity covered the entirety, with private organizations providing the supplies.

Alejandro Barbosa Padilladirector of the organization pointed out that the document signed on February 13, 2022 by Dr. Jose Enrique Perez Holguin It is a fallacy, where it indicates that until September 2021 all entities were at 50% supply and Jalisco at 55%.

“All the states are below 40% supply, again the INSABI makes a mistake again. They said that in Jalisco there was an oversupply since here in the document that they are sharing with me there is talk of a 55% supply in 2021, when they referred that Jalisco has a 100% supply and they no longer ask for medicines because they have enough, imagine the the size of the lie these people are saying,” he said.

Barbosa Padilla points out that the statistics of deaths from cancer are highlighted by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) and more since the six-year term of Andrés Manuel López Obrador began in Mexico.

“The INEGI says so, 2019, 2020, more than 170 thousand deaths as a result of cancer. What happened in these years? Were there no early detection campaigns? We did not have medicine, people with tumors no longer have a way to go to private units because there is no longer subrogation of service, if there is no team, there is no care, if there is a line, wait, like the ladies who continue to wait until 10 in the night to find out if it’s his turn,” he said.

What’s more, Red Nose highlighted having obtained one million 430 thousand pesos that the Guadalajara City Council together to provide medicines oncological to boys and girls.

“Today, well, I can give you good news here in Jalisco. A Red Nose has been given almost two million pesos for medicine for children with cancer, part of the Government of Guadalajara, it is a social program, the truth is that we are very grateful because with this we can support many children, ”he stressed.
