Around ten million people die of cancer every year. Among these deaths are 2.3 million premature deaths in women under the age of 70. This is the result of a current study by an international team of scientists, which has now been published in the medical journal “Lancet”. 800,000 cancer deaths in women alone might be avoided through optimal medical care.
