Canadian’s Season: Understanding the Tension in the Locker Room and Player Reactions

2024-01-23 18:32:26

Yesterday followingnoon, Jeff Gorton was on TSN 690 to talk a little regarding the Canadian’s season. We also published a paper on the subject yesterday.

He also mentioned, at a certain point in the interview, feeling a little tension in the Canadian locker room.

Be careful: he didn’t say that the atmosphere was cut with a knife. What he said was that following the Canadian’s two defeats once morest the Sens and the Bruins, there was a certain tension in the air. And he doesn’t think it’s negative at all.

Which brings us to this morning. After training, Martin St-Louis was asked regarding this, whether he had the same feeling as the Flanelle’s VP of hockey operations.

And obviously, his opinion differs, he who is not ready to say that there is tension within the team.

What the coach said was that there was perhaps disappointment in the dressing room following the way the club played in the last few days, but we are not necessarily talking regarding tension.

The coach added that he would have to ask Gorton what he meant. Maybe he meant intensity?

I wonder why Gorton went to make such comments publicly on the radio… and probably at this moment, Martin St-Louis is asking himself much the same questions. After all, this is the kind of issue that should usually not be revealed on the radio by the club’s VP.

But at the same time, I tell myself that if it was that serious, Gorton wouldn’t have talked regarding it either. No?

A lot of

– With reason.

– CH’s opponents this evening.

– Logic.

– Arber Xhekaj enjoyed working with Logan Mailloux.

– Corey Perry considered signing with the Panthers.

– New contract in sight?
