Ottawa: Canada has announced many benefits for foreign students coming to the country for study purposes. Immigration Refugees Citizenship Canada is bringing the new changes.
1. Provide more learning opportunities to students.
2. Further expand the student direct stream allowing for fast track studies.
3. Encourage foreign students for permanent residence in order to deal with the labor shortage in the country.
4. The Immigration Authority will publish monthly data of backlogs to track student applications.
5. Students are allowed to work off campus for more than 20 hours per week.
