Valerio Marinacci was born in Rome, Italy but through his veins runs blood Honduran in genetic heritage of one of the people he catalogs as important in his life: his maternal grandmother who It is called Christian.
In the last hours, the name of Marinacci hhas resonated once more when summoned by the first team of the Lazio for his preseason tour he will do por Austria.
For the 19-year-old left-back who considers himself a catracho, this will be a golden opportunity to convince Maurizio Sarri and make a place in the template.
DIEZ contacted the youth and briefly referred to this experience that can turn his career around following having formed in the spring team.

HE WANTS TO DEFEND THE SHIELD OF THE H
Since his appearance at least three years ago, the youth has not hidden his desire to play for Honduras, all in honor of fulfilling his maternal grandmother’s dream.
“I would like to have the opportunity for the first time. Playing for Honduras would be a source of pride and would make one of the most important people for me happy”, she closed.
What do the laws of Honduras say regarding nationalization?
This motivation of Valerio has shown him to the doors of the National Autonomous Football Federation of Honduras to be promoted in one of the U-20 microcycles, but through the time that has elapsed it has not materialized.
The truth is that the Political Constitution of the Republic of Honduras, clearly establishes the two criteria (Birth or Naturalization) to opt for Honduran nationality and Valerio Marinacci he doesn’t meet any of them because he was born in Italy, like both of his parents.
The “plan B” that he might opt for is that his mother becomes a Honduran national by birth (by his maternal grandmother) and then he applies for the same nationality.
Article 23: “The following are Hondurans by birth: 1. Those born in the national territory, with the exception of the children of diplomatic agents; 2. Those born abroad to a Honduran mother or father by birth”.
Naturalization would be another viable option to play with Honduras, however, that would imply living in catracho territory.
“Other foreigners who have resided in the country for more than three (3) consecutive years”, reads article 24 of chapter 1.
Today the path to wearing the white and blue colors seems unlikely, but Valerio has shown with such pride and passion his ingrained desire to make it a reality as he seeks to make it all the way to Serie A.
