In the presence of the Brussels Minister for Dutch-speaking education Sven Gatz (Open VLD), the Campus Stream was presented to the general public on Wednesday. The future school complex should become an innovative and sustainable educational site in the canal area of Brussels, able to accommodate 1,280 pupils in nursery (192 places), primary (288) and secondary (800) education. A crèche will also be built on the site.

The Campus Stream is under construction on the site located between rue Walcourt and rue Henri Deleers in Anderlecht. The architectural firms Smak Architects, Atelier Kempe Thill & Kaderstudio and Polo Architects ensured the design of the future school complex.

The project, the result of a collaboration between the Flemish Community Commission (VGC), the municipality of Anderlecht and GO!, Flemish official education, should host a series of educational institutions “which offer an inspiring learning environment for children 0-18 years old,” said Gatz. Thus, the secondary school GO! 4Tech, the municipal primary school of Anderlecht Stroomboot and the municipal nursery will settle in the future complex.

Work began in 2022 and is due to be completed in 2025.
