Doha: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has announced that the new season of winter camping will begin in November after the hot season has started to subside. The camping season in the northern and central regions of the country in deserts and coastal areas will last till April 1, 2023.
However, camping in Sealine and Khor Al Udeid in the southern region of the country will not start until after the World Cup. Camping in these areas will start only after December 20. However, camping in the area will continue till May 20. The ministry clarified that the camps in these areas are being postponed to provide good experience and services to the campers.
Natural Reserves Division Asst. Director Salim Huhain Al Safran informed.
The region is set to welcome a large number of spectators coming to the World Cup. Registration of camping areas will start on October 16. It will be held in three different phases till 27th.
Registration for southern areas (Sealine and Khor Al Adaid) is from October 16 to 19, registration for camping in central areas is from 20 to 23 and registration for northern areas is from 24 to 27.
Registration can be done through the official website of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and the Municipality or through its own application.
Online fee payment is sufficient within three days from the date of approval of application.
