CAMPECHE.- After 104 days of strike in protest against the failed operation in the San Francisco Kobén prisonthe police from the so-called “dissident” group ended the strike.

Agents of the Campeche Policefrom the so-called ‘dissident’ group, ended their three-month strike following the riot at the Kobén prison, which they accused of being the result of a failed operation due to a lack of appropriate equipment and information.
Since last March, the police have remained at the facilities of the Secretariat for Citizen Protection and Security (SPSC), but decided to end the strike “for the sake of their families.”
According to reports, they agreed to sign the agreement in which they asked to continue working but thanked the people of Campeche for their support.
He also seeks to reach an agreement with state authorities to agree on his reinstatement and to avoid any reprisals against him, requesting that this be put in writing.
They claim that several officers had previously abandoned the strike because their salaries were suspended and they were even subject to investigation files for acts of corruption.
In their message this Thursday they called on Governor Layda Sansores and the Secretary of Security, Marcela Munoz Martinezto continue without retaliation and deliver their salaries and compensation so that their families stop suffering.
They also demand that the investigation files be dropped because their protest was “legal, fair and peaceful.”
They also pointed out that the police facilities are as they were left on March 16, as they were kept safe and notarized, documenting the armory, canine section, bodycam storage, high command offices and vehicles.
It is worth noting that some officers preferred to terminate their service in the police by submitting their resignation.
Police officers are awaiting a prompt response from government authorities.
