Campaign on Damascus Airport: Israel uses Iran as a pretext to strike civilian facilities

Today, Sunday, loyalists of the Syrian regime launched a media campaign to publish pictures of the lounges at Damascus Airport that were subjected to Israeli bombardment last Friday, claiming that Israel is using Iranian weapons to attack the Syrian infrastructure.

The regime loyalists published pictures showing the destruction of one of the passenger terminals at Damascus International Airport as a result of the Israeli bombing, while no pictures of the effects of the destruction of the runway were shown.

The Syrians are carrying out the campaign in an attempt to rally international support once morest the Israeli strikes, which are no longer confined to military infrastructure, saying that Damascus is being subjected to Israeli terrorism.

At dawn on Friday, the Israeli forces targeted Damascus International Airport with rockets from over the occupied Syrian Golan, which led to the airport being out of service due to the great damage to the landing and take-off runways, which led to the airport being completely paralyzed.

And Israeli media said that “the Israeli army is likely to reach Hezbollah equipment and technologies from Iran through the airport,” likely to be aimed at “producing a copy of the missiles with high accuracy and efficiency,” which prompted the Israeli army to launch the last attack on the airport runways.
