One following the start of its announcement, Street Fighter 6 is finally coming to the end of the presentations of all the characters who will make up the launch roster next June. It was indeed during the State of Play on February 23, 2023 that the Japanese publisher revealed the fighters Cammy, Zangief and Lily, accompanied by a large gameplay trailer. While Cammy and Zangief need no introduction, it’s still nice to see their new look and iconic attacks revisited. Zangief, for example, has never seemed so massive and now seems to have assumed his status as a wrestler with the little outfit that goes well. His muscle mass and herculean strength allow him to take any opponent into the air before crashing down to the ground. As for Cammy, it is nice to see her less sexualized in the past with an outfit more appropriate for today’s mores. We also note that she dropped her long braids for a more contemporary cut.
Then there remains Lily, a newcomer to the roster, and whose resemblances to T. Hawk are not insignificant, since she is a descendant of the Thunderfoot tribe. His great strength is being able to speak with the spirits of nature and to walk around with war clubs. Regarding his attacks, they are Condor Dive, Condor Spire and Tomahawk Buster, to which we can add the level 1 Super Art, namely Breezing Hawk, and tackle them on the ground with his level 3 Super Art, Raging Typhoon. With these 3 more fighters, it’s a list of 18 characters that will be present at launch, including the 8 emblematic ones.
