Camilla Cabello, Rauw Alejandro and Chapell Roan will perform at the 2024 MTV Video Awards

Culture Editor, Aug 13 (EFE).- Camilla Cabello, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Rauw Alejandro and Sabrina Carpenter are some of the artists who will perform at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards gala to be held at the UBS Arena in New York on September 11.

The event will be broadcast live in more than 150 countries to celebrate the best music videos of the year and can be seen in Spain in the early hours of Wednesday 11-12 September, according to a statement from the organisation.

This year’s nominations are led by Taylor Swift (10), Post Malone (9); Ariana Grande, Eminem and Sabrina Carpenter (6); Megan Thee Stallion and SZA (5) and LISA, Olivia Rodrigo and Teddy Swims (4).

Camilla Cabello, winner of four awards in previous editions and this year nominated for Best Pop Artist, will perform for the third time at this event, which will also feature rap singer GloRilla, who is attending with three nominations, including Best Hip-Hop Video and Best Collaboration.

Latin GRAMMY winner Rauw Alejandro will be performing for the first time at these awards, where he has three nominations, including Best Latin Video, as well as Chapell Roan, who is up for awards in two categories, including Best New Artist.

Also performing will be actress, singer and songwriter Sabrina Carpenter, nominated for the first time in six categories including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.

MTV has confirmed that in memory of the victims of 9/11, the awards will support the non-profit organizations 9/11-Day and Tuesday’s Children.
