Cameroonian Denise Epoté appointed to three positions at TV5Monde

(Agence Ecofin) – Before her new promotion, Denise Epoté, former presenter of Cameroon Television, had been managing TV5Monde Afrique since 1998.

Cameroonian Denise Epoté (photo) has just been promoted within TV5Monde, France’s external audiovisual holding company, according to exclusive information from the official page of the “Ecrans Noirs” festival, specializing in culture and the media.

« Today [10 janvier 2022] was confirmed by the board of directors of TV5Monde, the appointment of Denise Epoté, the 40-year-old classmate and friend of our general delegate Bassek Ba Kobhio, as marketing director of TV5Monde and PCA from TV5Monde USA and from TV5Monde Latin America, following nearly 15 years in charge of the channel for Africa. This prestigious appointment will take effect on February 1, 2022», ReportsInvest in Cameroon.

The 68-year-old Cameroonian, who served as the presenter of the newspaper on Cameroonian national television (CTV, later become CRTV) in the mid-1980s and early 1990s, was promoted as the Principality of Monaco entered the capital of TV5Monde alongside Canada, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, France, Quebec and Switzerland. TV5 at the same time becomes a simplified joint stock company (SAS) which cannot call on public savings. Yves Bigot, until now CEO of TV5Monde, is now CEO of the channel.

As a reminder, in July 2017, Denise Epoté at the time director of TV5Monde Afrique had organized in Yaoundé the celebration of 25 years of existence in Cameroon, on the occasion of the film festival “Black screens”.
