Cameroon loses a place

Despite its regression, Cameroon remains in the Top 5 of African nations in the FIFA rankings.

After having played only one international match during the FIFA period of June 2022 with the victory over Burundi with the score of 1 goal to 0, in the match counting for the 2nd day of the CAN TotalEnergies Côte d’Ivoire 2022 qualifiers, the Indomitable Lions have lost points and a place in this FIFA ranking. Cameroon goes from 37th to 38th place. Cameroon gains a place on the African level and integrates the top 5 behind Senegal (18th, +2) still leader which gains 2 places on the world level, Morocco 2nd (21st, +3), Tunisia 3rd ( 30th, +5) and Nigeria 4th (31st, -1).

Remember, however, that the country of Rigobert Song is very far from its best world ranking in history which is an 11th place gleaned in 2007 and 2009. To find out if the Lions are getting closer, we will have to wait for the next ranking to be published. on August 5, 2022.
