Camera captures trio of thieves fleeing Florida home after owner shoots them with AK-47

The man shot the invaders of his residence with an AK-47.

And Florida resident who fired an AK-47 at three robbers who entered his home will not face criminal charges, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said.

“What if the owner of the house is going to be charged for shooting these people? Absolutely not,” Sheriff Chip Simmons told the media at a conference.

The owner was protecting himselfand, in Florida and in Escambia County, you can protect yourself,” added the officer.

The incident was reported at 9:30 pm on July 7 at the residence located in Pensacola.

Images released by the aforementioned office show three suspects, one of whom is carrying a weapon.

When the owner, armed, opens the door, two of the strangers push him. The third pulls out a gun while he waits outside.

“The victim’s gun falls to the ground and is picked up by one of the invaders. The victim runs to the back room of the house where he had another gun and starts shooting the intruders,” details a report from the sheriff’s office.

Eight seconds later, the suspects are seen running terrified out of the house.

A fourth suspect was waiting for the others in a car.

Da’Torrance Hackworth was arrested and faces multiple charges including use of a weapon in the commission of a crime and possession of weapons.

Another suspect was identified as Antonio Dewayne Dean Jr.; he is wanted for multiple offenses and robberies. While Joseph Roman Sanders is wanted on charges of breaking into a home with a weapon.

The fourth involved has not been identified by authorities.
