Call Of Duty: Warzone Update Improves The Katana And Brings Several Fixes – Full Patch Notes

The January 20th Call of Duty: Warzone patch notes include several quality of life updates, which come just a day following Activision announced the delay of Season 2 of Vanguard and Warzone in order to bring improvements to both games. Additionally, the Season 1 melee weapon Katana received a series of buffs to improve the weapon in battle royale.

According to the Raven Software patch notes, issues with the menu screen flickering when joining a friend or queuing with a party have been resolved. Another caused certain weapons to continuously fire following reloading animations, and a bug that caused regular/advanced Big Game Bounty and Top Secret Contracts UAV rewards to not fire if the player was in a vehicle or gun anti-aircraft have both been fixed, too.

Other Warzone improvements include a fix for an issue that caused private lobby hosts to crash, and several collision issues have been resolved with various Caldera items that allowed players to farm, peek or shoot through them.

For the Katana mods, there was a slight nerf to movement speed, but the weapon should feel a bit more viable in Warzone with a series of buffs that include a major damage boost from 135 to 150. The Katana’s standing charge range and crouched charge range has also been increased.

Unfortunately, Raven Software hasn’t addressed the current “Harry Potter meta” of hackers in flying cars, which terrorize players on both Caldera and Rebirth Island. Hopefully, the Ricochet anti-cheat can stop pirates from flying jeeps, and more quality of life updates will arrive to continue improving Warzone’s frustrating state.

The full patch notes can be viewed below, as shared by Raven Software.
