Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on Nintendo Switch, new remasters … the latest rumors

Game News Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on Nintendo Switch, new remasters … the latest rumors

While Activision recently said it wanted to stop annual Call of Duty releases, recent rumors point to the development of remasters to fill the gap between two major installments. It is via twitter that this information begins to spread, as does the possibility of a port for the license on Nintendo Switch.

Between two major episodes, towards new Call of Duty remasters?

The rumor begins to swell on Twitter. As the new season of Warzone has just started, Call of Duty is once again in the heart of the news. This time, we are talking about the possibility of seeing several Call of Duty remasters soon. The information comes from RalphsValve which speaks of Activision’s desire to dig into its cupboards to release old opuses brought up to date.

The episodes concerned would be Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2 as well as Call of Duty : World at War which would take the form of remasters similar to Modern Warfare Remastered. This would allow Activision to fill the gap between releasing two major episodes as the studio would now like to skip annual releases.

With this decision and Microsoft’s strike force, Activision could thus fill its release calendar while reinforcing expectations around each major opus. Remember that Call of Duty receives more mixed press reviews than before, but still remains today one of the most popular licenses of all time, especially in the United States. And if RalphsValve shares this information (to be taken with great tweezers), it also maintains that an episode of the license could soon land on Nintendo Switch.

Modern warfare… and wearable

Recently, Brad Smith spoke about Microsoft’s intention to port Call of Duty titles to Nintendo Switchin the event that the acquisition of Activision-Blizzard was validated. Today RalphsValve echoes that intention when talking about a Switch port of Modern Warfare Remastered.

This would make this installment the first to be released on Nintendo’s console. But again, nothing has been confirmed yet and this information remains, once again, a rumor. It will therefore be necessary to wait for Activision to comment on these recent rumors to confirm, or not, these possible exits.
