If the latter will be a real game in its own right, the pill is struggling to pass and here is why.
The price of Modern Warfare 3 far too high?
If for a few days we had the right to the formalization of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the players seemed more than ever delighted with this news with several other pieces of information that were incredibly pleasant, we are not going to lie to each other. Nevertheless, there had to be a black dot that appeared on the board, and this is the price displayed for this new game.
Indeed, for a few hours now, Activision would have announced that its price would then be $70, or for us in France, regarding 65€. If the latter is “not a strong price”, that is to say a game at 80 €, the news still has a lot of trouble getting through and this for several fairly legitimate reasons. Remember, several months ago, rumors announced certain things concerning Activision’s plans: if at first the studio was not to offer a new Call of Duty title for 2023, the situation has changed with this the announcement of “a premium Call of Duty game”. Initially, we were indeed to have the right to two DLCs intended for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with thus new maps for Multiplayer but also some missions to continue the story. However, plans have therefore changed since the studio later denied the rumors with the announcement of new premium content.
But where is the problem you will tell us? Well if Activision said it was a premium game, it’s no more and no less than what we should have had through the two expansions planned for Modern Warfare 2, except here the studio has transformed the latter to then make a real complete game, little trickster!

But then, what should we expect from Modern Warfare 3? Well according to the first images, the events of MW3 will take place just following those of MW2, in continuity, with the return of the antagonist Makarov which will give a hard time to our Captain Price.
Regarding Multiplayer, for the moment we are still waiting for official information, but according to insiders, we should have the right the return of the most emblematic maps of MW2, but also other maps of the entire license.
