We know that Infinity Ward has been working for several months Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, but so far we do not have a first trailer. Activision Blizzard and Sledgehammer Games continue to keep CoD: Vanguard afloat, even though sales weren’t the best. With MW2, the bet is higher, since we are talking regarding one of the most beloved series in the franchise.
A few days ago, the official Infinity Ward account changed its profile picture and cover on Twitter to dark backgrounds, or at least that’s what they wanted us to believe. Tom Henderson, a well-known leaker of news related to video games, took the image and passed it through a program to improve light, resolution and contrast; giving us the surprise that Ghost was hidden, a character that we saw in the second season of MW (2019), and the most beloved of the series.

The character is in a position as if looking at the viewer. After this discovery, users have already begun to talk regarding the role that Ghost will play in this sequel to Modern Warfare, and some are even afraid that it will happen to him. If you played the original MW2, you will know that on that occasion, the first version of Simon Ridley (real name of the character) died following being betrayed by Shepherd.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: First trailer on the way?
Tom Henderson has released more information regarding Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. As indicated in a Twitter postPresenting the first trailer right now would be premature, so Activision and Infinity Ward would only show it to the public at the end of May.

In that sense, Henderson assures that the trailer is still in production, and some employees have already had the opportunity to see it. If they are taking their time, it means that Infinity Ward is preparing a great revelation, as happened with the first trailer for Modern Warfare (2019) that left many shocked by the extraordinary return of a well-loved saga.
We’ll see if Call of Duty can pick up sales and attention this year, following a few slow months with Sledgehammer Games’ CoD: Vanguard.
