The launch of the second season of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone will mark the next step in our ongoing commitment to improving your gaming experience.

Last week, we shared a lot of new content coming this season. However, this is all secondary to our main priority: providing the community with a positive and fun gaming experience.

It comes with the improvement and correction of what is already published. Season two – in addition to patches released during its postponement and upcoming updates following its release – aims to do just that.

Naturally, we have exciting plans in the works across the franchise this year, but right now the team is strictly focused on delivering the Warzone experience we all play today, responding to current frustrations and responding to multiple requests. important to our community.

Here are our current plans:

Our priorities for Warzone

Our developers’ number one priority is “Quality of Life” – making changes that allow Warzone to be more accessible and less frustrating for our community.

Examples of this include the over 30 improvements coming with the launch of Season 2, including:

  • Improvements in all forms of movement: vehicle handling, deploying parachutes at a lower vertical height, increased height that players can jump, and collision fixes for vehicles and players;
  • The gas mask animation no longer interrupts down aiming operators;
  • When inserting armor plates, a full armor plate will be filled before filling damaged ones.

This is in addition to fixing bugs and issues. In season two, we address several issues, including the following:

  • Performance and streaming issues, including Buy Station hangs, voice chat connectivity, and distorted graphics, on all platforms;
  • Specific Operator skins invisible at certain distances;
  • Crashes in Modern Warfare multiplayer, which is tied to the Warzone launcher.

Our Call of Duty studio teams monitor both public community sentiment and every aspect of the day-to-day action that takes place in our game. adds to what is in development as fixed before release.

Ultimately, we want to focus on what makes Warzone enjoyable for our community: gameplay comes first and new features aren’t implemented at the expense of stability.

Another priority is community communication. This debrief, our blogs, Raven Software’s patch notes, and the work of our dedicated social media and community management teams all help to keep you, the players, informed regarding what’s going on in Warzone, Vanguard and other Call of Duty games.

Respond to key community requests

In addition to performance improvements across all platforms, we’ve heard loud and clear from the community regarding their other top demands for Warzone.

The Field of View (FOV) sliders on the console are one of them.

The addition of on-console FOVs in Warzone is creating major performance impacts for older console players. Our goal is for Warzone to be a successful experience on all platforms, so we are not planning to implement an FOV slider on console at this time.

We also understand that we do not respond directly to all community inquiries in official communications. But we reaffirm our commitment to listening to these concerns and ensuring vigorous and beneficial internal discussions that developers have regarding them before solutions – where possible – are implemented.

The second season will be the next major step in continually improving your gaming experience, and we continue to greatly appreciate feedback from our community.

Future plans

Finally, we also wanted to give a preview of what’s on the horizon in 2022 for Call of Duty. The team is excited to confirm some additional news below.
