License Call of Duty is one of the most famous and played FPS licenses in the world. After the release of Call of Duty : Vanguard and the takeover of Activision-Blizzard by Microsoft, players are already wondering regarding the next installment in the saga, while Vanguard hard to seduce.
A sequel to Modern Warfare for 2022
Developped by Infinity Ward, Call of Duty : Modern Warfare was released in late 2019. It also introduced Warzone, the publisher’s Free-to-play battle-royale. This week, we learned more regarding the future of the license.
Let’s start with a look ahead:

The game Call of Duty due out in 2022 will be a sequel to Modern Warfare (2019) and will incorporate a whole new experience Warzone. The latter will be a major evolution of the system, with a brand new environment and a sandbox mode. Good news, these two games will be developed under the direction of Infinity Ward as planned. On this occasion, a new game engine will be used for their development.
As a reminder, we have had confirmation that the games of the license Call of Duty will continue to be released on various platforms, including Playstation consoles even following the end of the contractual agreements signed between Activision and Sony.
