Call of Duty: a cheater caught in the act becomes the laughingstock of the web

Game News Call of Duty: a cheater caught in the act becomes the laughingstock of the web

There are those who cheat well and there are others. Today’s story comes to us from a player who wanted to extinguish all suspicion but, not being very skilled, hastened his downfall in front of his home crowd…

Caught hand in the hack

To say that cheating is present on Call of Duty is a mild understatement: it is a real scourge that has been raging for years now and on all opuses. Enough for the developers themselves to develop their own anti-cheat technology, RICOCHET, which despite some efficiency at launch didn’t stop the trend either.

The latest example comes from a player named Kenji, who was in a 2v2 tournament once morest the duo iLuhvly and Sasuke. Well aware of the accusations of cheating that his opponents (and not only) brought him, he decided to film himself in the middle of the game to prove to the public that no, he was not breaking the rules of Call of Duty.

The problem is that not only was the cheat part of it, but its pirate software appeared directly on its own images, in a corner of the screen, on one of its monitors. A real mistake of inattention (or framing) which cost him dearly since the sequence was immediately found on the internet: unsurprisingly, Internet users were not kind to him, especially given the stupidity of the action.

Kenji was therefore banned from the Checkmate Gaming tournament platform and fled, simply deleting his Twitch account in the process.

The struggle continues

On the other hand, Raven Software and Activision continue their tireless fight once morest cheating. We were talking regarding the RICOCHET system above, but before that, the developers had already banned more than 500,000 players on Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard and we pass.

Activision has gone even further recently by suing one of the actors of the cheat by the name of EngineOwning, demanding the total cessation of its activities and to pay the maximum fines imposed. And when a monster like Activision-Blizzard attacks you – which will soon become Microsoft when the takeover is finalized – it is probably better to comply with its demands or lay low.
