Several NBA players used their social networks to reveal that they were presented with a demo of Call of Duty 2023.
They were able to test the new chapter of the series during the NBA Summer League, which takes place in Las Vegas. So far, there are no official details regarding the game.
In the images posted on Instagram and Twitter, several NBA players appear playing the title on a PlayStation 5. It was not clear if they might have shared this information or if they spoiled Activision’s surprise.
The CharlieINTEL Twitter page, specializing in bringing early information regarding Call of Duty, suggests that NBA players just saw a demo of the new game and played Warzone.

Banners with the new Call of Duty logo appear in the images. However, the new art is far from new and has been used on official Activision channels for a while now. On the cover of Call of Duty 2023, this should be the font used.
According to rumors, the new Call of Duty is developed by Sledgehammer under the supervision of Infinity Ward. Information from journalist Jason Schreier claims that Activision’s goal is to make a game that is full price and fully independent, but is an extension of Modern Warfare 2.
Modern Warfare 2 maps and modes are expected to be carried over to the new one, but Schreier indicates those plans might change by launch. More information regarding the title will be revealed in the coming weeks.
