This training aims to increase the skills and knowledge of personnel working in health and social services, particularly in rehabilitation, nursing, psychology, medicine, pharmacy and social work.
Project proposals must target the carrying out of a needs study and/or the development of training. More concretely, these must relate to one or more of the following elements:
- Adapting practices and interventions to prevent the impacts of climate change on mental health and physical health.
- Mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions in practice.
- Preparing the health and social services sector and the population to respond to crises and threats related to climate change.
Eligible organizations:
- non-profit organizations working in the field of training, health or climate change;
- professional orders and associations;
- universities, CEGEPs, college technology transfer centers and research chairs;
- government agencies
The format of the training to be developed remains flexible, in order to align with the needs and practices of the target audience. Following a rigorous and independent evaluation process, financial assistance of up to $150,000 will be granted to the best projects. These must be completed by March 31, 2024 (for needs analyses) or by March 31, 2026 (for training development).
