Krafton’s new survival horror novel ‘Calisto Protocol’ visited the site of Summer Game Fest 2022. Glenn Scofield, director of Striking Distance Studios, participated in the game show and unveiled the new gameplay for the first time.
In the published video, you can check the in-game of ‘Calisto Protocol’ from a third-person backview point of view. The story progresses from the point of view of the main character who is facing an unknown threat, and in addition to the simple firing of a gun, it is expressed in response to the enemy with a gimmick called ‘grab’.
In particular, it can be seen that the motions such as amputation of the enemy’s limbs, which were the biggest characteristics of the director’s masterpiece ‘Dead Space’, and confirmed kills by crushing them with their feet, were also used in the ‘Calisto Protocol’.
In addition, it is expressed that the main character wears a reinforced suit according to the game play in the prison uniform, and the grab action can be actively used in battle according to various field gimmicks. In addition, some brutal dead scenes of the main character were also introduced and received favorable responses from fans.
Meanwhile, ‘Calisto Protocol’ will be officially released on December 2nd on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
