Calima and mud rain with the DANA in Spain, until when?

The remains of the DANA which has left strong storms in the last few hours in Spain, has also caused the arrival of haze. In many areas of the peninsula, therefore, there have been mud rains and they could still be repeated.

When does the haze go away? In the next few hours the suspended dust will be withdrawing from the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, but could reach the Canary Islands. Besides, the Air quality can also worsen in some points.

Calima invades Spain thanks to the DANA

The DANA has dragged a large amount of haze from the Sahara desert. Calima has “invaded” almost the entire peninsular territory, in addition to the Balearic Islandss. For this reason, in the areas where it has precipitated, mud rains have occurred.

This Tuesday we could still have haze in much of the country, although with a lower concentration of particles and especially affecting the south and east of the peninsula. Starting Wednesday it will be withdrawn from these areas to make an appearance in the Canary Islands.

In the Canary Islands The haze could begin to reach the easternmost islands on Wednesday and will spread to the rest of the islands between Thursday and Friday. On the Mediterranean coast of Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla, the haze is likely to continue for a few more days.

The mud rain is back, don’t wash your car!

The presence of haze could still leave mud rain in Spain. Where will it rain mud?? Air quality may worsen with haze

If the haze is persistent and its density abundant, Bronchospasms may even appear. (serious breathing difficulties), chest pain and asthma, especially in people with allergies or other respiratory diseases. Anxiety attacks may also occur.
