California wildfires: 7,500 people evacuated | California wild fire

Weed (US) ∙ 7,500 residents were ordered to evacuate following wildfires swept through rural Northern California. Many houses were burnt. A few people were burnt.

The first fire broke out in a timber factory here on Friday followingnoon. The vacant buildings of the factory were burnt down. The fire spread rapidly in the wind.

Heavy smoke covered the area. Tens of thousands of homes were left in the dark due to the power outage. Summer fires are common in rural California. Wildfires were also burning in Castaic, north of Los Angeles, and eastern Santiago, on the Mexican border, on Wednesday.
