2022 – In a lecture hall at Heidelberg University, a student shoots a 23-year-old girl and then himself. Eight students are injured. According to experts, the shooter had a mental disorder.
2022 – Mutinous soldiers overthrow Burkina Faso’s democratically elected President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré and take power in the West African country. The military junta forms an interim government.
2013 – The magazine “Stern” reported on allegedly suggestive remarks by the FDP parliamentary group leader Rainer Brüderle to a reporter from the newspaper in early 2012. The article triggered a debate about sexism.
