Last summer Caleb Martin had made a surprising choice since he had decided to sign with the Miami Heat for a two-way contract (which had been transformed into a standard contract during the season) when he had much better offers. Author of a good season, he has just won a nice contract of 20 million dollars over 3 years according to Shams and Tim Reynolds.
This is not a surprise since he had expressed his desire to stay. He had his best season with the Heat since he signed 9.2 points at 50.7% including 41.3% from distance, 3.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1 steal in 22.9 minutes. His role was then less important in the playoffs, not in success. In 17 games he shot 4.5 points at 40% including 30.3% less and 2.2 rebounds in 12.3 minutes.
Restricted free agent Caleb Martin has agreed to a three-year, $20-plus million deal to return to the Miami Heat, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.
