Last Friday, the 25th, two historical research books on the town were on display in La Cruz, one of which has a longer history in the Calamuchita Valley.
This takes place within the framework of a book fair organized by the Domingo Faustino Sarmiento School in the town.
The books, written by Claudio Bustos (Lic), a professor at the National University of Córdoba, and Mauricio Jaimes, a legislator and former mayor of La Cruz province, discuss the former Spanish Origins, Spanish Conquest, and Formation of Spanish Colonial Rule.

Mauricio Jaimes said: “About 1500, not long after the arrival of the conquistadors, we settled there and apparently the life of the locals in this land also began. The whole adventure was A real journey through time. It took Claudio years of research; and for me, years of curiosity, interpretation and analysis until I got here.
These copies are not yet for sale, but will be available soon. “We’re figuring out how to market them so that the proceeds can be donated to some institution,” Jaimes commented.
“What we did was start distributing them to local agencies,” he concluded.
