Handsome singer Cakra Khan has made Indonesia proud following appearing at the world talent search event, America’s Got Talent 2023, Bunda. Cakra also managed to qualify for the next round following getting 4 ‘Yes’ from the judges.
At that time, Cakra looked nervous when he stood on stage. Even so, Cakra still greeted everyone in the room.
Wearing a brown jacket, white shirt, black pants and sneakers, Cakra held his microphone with both hands. He also introduced himself to the audience and the four interpreters, Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara and Howie Mandel.
“My name is Cakra Khan, I’m from Indonesia, I’m 31 years old,” he said in English, quoted by the YouTube channel America’s Got TalentWednesday (19/7/2023).
After hearing Cakra introduce himself, Heidi asked what type of music Cakra likes as a singer, Bunda.
“Yes (I’m a singer). I really like the blues genre. I like soul music and I will sing soul music with the title Make It Rain,” he said.
Furthermore, Heidi once more asked what Cakra would do if he won and won a prize from the talent search event. The judges were surprised because Cakra admitted that he wanted to open an animal shelter.
“I want to own an animal shelter (animal shelter),” he said.
Had dismissed by Simon Cowell
After a brief chat with the interpreters, Cakra finally sang on stage with a song Make It Rain. Cakra’s performance was greeted with cheers and applause from the audience.
Unfortunately, Cakra’s performance was stopped by one of the judges, Simon Cowell, Bunda. He also asked Cakra to sing another song.
“I think you have a good voice. I don’t like the track. Do you bring any other songs?” asked Simon.
“Yes (there are other songs). I grew up with (work) Bob Marley and my father used to play this song all the time before I went to school. So, this (song) No Woman No Cry” Chakra replied.
The rhythm of the music was heard once more and Cakra was singing once more. All the spectators gave cheers and applause, a sign that they liked the appearance of this man from Pangandaran. All the spectators even got up from their seats and joined in singing along with Cakra.
