THE General Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar sent a message to the rioters who wanted to cancel the sixth congress in Nusa Dua, Bali. He emphasized his position as the leader of the party and a cadre of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).
“If you are a good person, be a gentle person and show your face. If you are a NU cadre, don’t be a cowardly NU cadre. Muhaimin is the general chairman of PKB and also a NU cadre,” Cak Imin emphasized at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Bali, Sunday (25/8).
Muhaimin explained that the PKB congress was very well received by the Balinese people. In fact, local kings attended the event and were given a special place.
“Last night I forgot that in the second row from the guests of honor were the kings of Bali. From the beginning, he enthusiastically backed up PKB with one sentence, we in Bali feel comfortable with the power of ahlussunnah wal jamaah called PKB,” said Muhaimin.
Muhaimin was confused by a handful of people who wanted to cancel his group’s congress. The accusations rejected by Balinese residents were said to have turned against the clashes that occurred with the pecalang yesterday.
“Yesterday, there were a handful of thugs wearing PKB jackets and uniforms, who wanted to disrupt this Congress. It wasn’t us who stopped them, but the Balinese pecalang,” said Muhaimin.

Muhaimin asked the rioters to meet him nicely. Sending the masses was considered only done by cowards.
“I want to say that there are no real NU cadres who are cowards. Sending thugs, thank God, thank you to the kings of the Balinese palaces who have helped secure this constitutional Congress process,” said Muhaimin.
Muhaimin also thanked the police and all parties who had secured the location around the conference. The results of the forum stated that Cak Imin was elected as the general chairman of PKB, again. (P-5)
