Cai Bingkun has a stroke for more than 20 days and still comatose staff: the pupil reaction has improved, I hope everyone will continue to gather

Cai Bingkun, the deputy mayor of Taipei City, suffered a right cerebral hemorrhagic stroke during a meal last month. The staff revealed today that Cai Bingkun is still in a coma, but his pupil reaction is better than before. Kuomintang member Chen Chongwen added that Cai Bingkun currently has a coma index of 8.

The Taipei City Council Education Committee conducted a report on the work of the Education Bureau and Sports Bureau today. Kuomintang member Qin Huizhu asked regarding the division of labor following Cai Bingkun’s fall. Sports director Li Zaili said that there were no major difficulties in administrative work, and most of them might be handled independently. Qin Huizhu asked Cai Bingkun’s current physical condition once more. Chen Shihao, a staff member of Cai Bingkun’s office and technical supervisor, said that Cai Bingkun was still in the intensive care unit, and the reaction in his pupils had improved compared to before.

The Taipei City United Hospital stated that Cai Bingkun continued to receive treatment and was under observation, but the details involved the patient’s privacy and it was inconvenient to respond.

On the evening of July 11, Cai Bingkun suddenly collapsed during a meal with the Taichung City Council. After being sent to the United Medical University Renai Hospital, he was diagnosed with a right cerebral hemorrhagic stroke. An emergency craniotomy was performed to remove blood clots, ventricle drainage and implantation of brain pressure monitoring. After surgery, he fell into a deep coma and was admitted to the intensive care unit for observation.
