CAHN registers adult foreign soldiers from Arsenal

Elton Monteiro Almada becomes a rookie of the Hanoi Police Club, replacing Tsoumou Fred, who has 3 goals in the V-League 2023.

Almada once stood with Hector Bellerin in an Arsenal youth team match.

On February 13, the name Elton Almada appeared in the list of players of the Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) on the homepage of VPF. He will be one of three foreign players of the team for the rest of the season, alongside midfielder Jhon Cley and striker Gustavo Henrique.

Almada was born in 1993 in Switzerland but has Portuguese nationality, playing as a central defender. In the period 2008-2013, he trained at Arsenal furnace. In 2015, Almada signed a professional contract with Club Brugge, the top team in the Belgian national championship.

However, Almada could not compete for the position here and had to leave without making any appearances. After that, the central defender switched to SC Braga B (Portugal), Lausanne (Switzerland) and Miedz Legnica (Poland). Almada’s career is mainly associated with Lausanne when he made 170 appearances and scored 6 goals for this team.

In the national team shirt, Almada has only played 8 matches for the U19, U20 and U21 teams. He has never played for the Portuguese first team.

Almada’s presence is essential to CAHN. After a 0-2 defeat against Hanoi, this team revealed some weaknesses in the central defender position.

In the case of Tsoumou Fred, he was injured after the match against Binh Dinh Club and was absent from the confrontation with Hanoi Club. Health problems may be one of the reasons CAHN club bid farewell to the striker who scored a hat-trick in the first round.
