Books – Ahmed Gomaa:
The Ministry of Health and Population announced the closure of an unlicensed private clinic for obstetrics and gynecology, whose director claims to perform caesarean sections “without wounding or opening the abdomen”, in Al-Batal Ahmed Abdel Aziz Street, Al-Agouza, Giza Governorate.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that this comes within the framework of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, to closely monitor medical facilities, monitor violations and misleading and unreal advertisements, and take all legal measures regarding violations in order to ensure the health and safety of citizens.
For his part, Dr. Hisham Zaki, Head of the Central Administration for Non-Governmental Medical Institutions and Licensing, indicated that he monitored an advertisement that sparked widespread controversy on social media, for an obstetrician and gynecologist claiming to perform caesarean section operations “without wounding or opening the abdomen at all,” as the doctor claimed that This innovation was registered in his name at the Ministry of Health in England, and he received a certificate of appreciation and distinction for that, according to what he posted on his Facebook account.
He said that a committee was formed to pass the clinic and it was found that the clinic was operating without a license from the Ministry of Health, and it was closed immediately and all legal measures were taken once morest its director and staff.
Zaki stressed the continuation of the monitoring campaigns on all medical facilities in the governorates of the Republic, to ensure that they and their employees comply with the necessary health requirements, calling on citizens to review the license of clinics, and the license to practice the profession for their employees before receiving medical service, in order to ensure the health and safety of patients.
