Diosdado Cabello, first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), urged his followers, who form the grassroots structures of the party, to include in their 1×10 list at least one person who has never voted for the ruling party and explained that it could be an opponent.
During a press conference, he said that there is a high level of satisfaction regarding the 1×10 that reaches all corners of the country. “Never before, in such a short time, has there been such an organizational response as we have had these days,” which for Cabello means a victory for the ruling party.
He indicated that, under the instructions of the official leader, Nicolás Maduro, each 1×10 must have a person who has never voted for Chavismo. “We must include a person who has never voted for Chavismo, a routine abstainer, and include him. We have more than 1.8 million registered cadres.”
He said that the opposition is denouncing “fraud” in advance and that the elections will not be free or transparent because they know that the “victory” will be for the “revolutionary forces.”
He also spoke disparagingly of Edmundo González, candidate of the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), whom he described as “weak, a puppet of imperialism, who does nothing unless he is ordered to, who has no real proposal for the country and who is advised by the same people who have destroyed the opposition and who needs people to come out and speak for him.”
Regarding María Corina Machado, he recalled that her political disqualification will be valid until 2039 “due to her issues with the justice system.”
He also said that the leader of Vente Venezuela (VV) “has psychological problems” that can be resolved by “a psychiatrist with a lot of treatment and painkillers.”
