BYD Introduces Full Lineup of New Energy Vehicles at 21st Guangzhou International Automobile Expo

BYD, the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles, showcased its complete line of vehicles at the 21st Guangzhou International Automobile Expo from November 17-26. BYD presented the world premiere of the e⁴ concept car, the launch of the Supercar platform and the reveal of the new all-electric SUV, the BYD Sea Lion 07 EV*.

Yangwang revealed a new e⁴ concept car and Supercar platform

BYD’s premium sub-brand Yangwang dazzled with the debut of its latest concept car e⁴, Supercar platform, and brought the U8 and U9 to the auto show. Yangwang’s e⁴ concept car lacked traditional steering and braking mechanisms. It employed a three-in-one technology for driving, braking and steering, eliminating the need for conventional mechanical systems. Earlier this year, Yangwang introduced the exclusive Yangwang architecture for high-end new energy vehicles. The Supercar platform under this architecture made its official debut, marking Yangwang’s transition from the wild to the cutting-edge racetrack. At the exhibition, the interior of the Yangwang U9 was revealed for the first time, presenting a driving location that radiated technological sophistication and sportiness.

Sea Lion 07 EV*: A new member of the BYD Ocean Series

BYD Ocean Series unveiled its first all-electric midsize SUV at the exhibition, the Sea Lion 07 EV*. Embracing the ‘Ocean Aesthetics’ design philosophy, it utilized rear/four-wheel drive architecture, equipped with CTB technology and iTAC intelligent torque control technology. In addition, it featured double-link independent front suspension and five-link independent rear suspension, along with the BYD DiSus intelligent body control system. Currently, the Ocean Series has several popular models, such as Dolphin, Seal, establishing a robust Ocean Series IP. In the future, the Ocean Series would consolidate the SUV models under the Sea Lion* intellectual property and the sedan models under the Seal intellectual property.

The Denza D9 PREMIER (inaugural edition with four seats) presented its intelligent configurations

Denza, another high-end sub-brand from BYD’s diverse array of brands, introduced the D9 PREMIER (inaugural edition with four seats) along with several cutting-edge technologies. The exterior of the D9 PREMIER (inaugural edition with four seats) adopted a two-tone galaxy body, and the interior featured the application of gilding techniques from intangible cultural heritage. The cabin has been equipped with 22 DEVIALET audio speakers and a top-of-the-line custom smart driving location including an 8″ armrest screen.

In December, high-speed NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) will be released to customers, followed by the gradual release of urban NOA in the first quarter of next year. NOA-enabled high-speed vehicles will be delivered to customers in December. In addition, features such as Sentry mode, Light Map mode and Commute mode will be rolled out progressively over the next year.

FANGCHENGBAO eo Stunning BAO 5

BYD’s professional custom sub-brand FANGCHENGBAO also brought its BAO 5 to the exhibition. The BAO 5, launched last week, positioned itself as a “Most Advanced Super Hybrid SUV” starting at 289,800 RMB and was equipped with BYD’s key technologies such as DMO and DiSus-P. BAO 5 utilized the ultra-safe blade battery, which adopted a 5-layer protection structure and was shielded by a ring-type double protection system.

BYD had a total of 4 booths at the 21st Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition, which will continue until November 26th. Several of BYD’s most advanced technologies, including the Dual Mode Off-road (DMO) super hybrid platform, the BYD DiSus intelligent body control system and the e⁴ platform, also appeared on some display platforms at this exhibition. BYD demonstrated its pioneering technology and leading advancements, contributing to helping cool the Earth by 1°C.
