A first shipment of Dolphins headed for Europe. Deliveries are expected to begin in the fall.

The BYD Dolphin is on its way to Europe. The CarNewsChina site indicates that a first batch took the direction of the Old Continent on July 2, even giving a precise figure of 152 copies, a low number, which could correspond to the copies intended to ensure a presence in the first European showrooms of the Chinese manufacturer. The image was taken at the port of Shenzhen, located a few hundred kilometers from the BYD plant in Fuzhou.

With the Dolphin, BYD hopes to see its sales take off in Europe. As a reminder, the brand first launched three models, the very expensive Han and Tang, and the more affordable Atto 3 compact SUV, but whose price is not so well placed, with an entry ticket of €43,690. .

On the other hand, the brand strikes hard with the Dolphin, which starts in France at €28,990, or €1,000 less than the MG4! At this price, we have a small block of 95 hp and a battery of 44.9 kWh. The version with a large 60.4 kWh battery that promises a range of 424 km is at € 33,990, a gun price, which does not take into account the bonus.

The first copies should therefore reach the points of sale by the start of the school year, which will allow the brand to launch the marketing.

You will be able to find our test of the Dolphin on Automobile Propre next week.
