A British man had one of the best nights of his life when he accidentally got a million pounds from a cash machine.

A man named Dan Saunders went to an ATM and discovered a defect in it, and tried to transfer 200 Australian pounds, but the machine gave him an error message that “the transaction has been canceled”, but he tried to withdraw the money, and got the cash he needed.

At first he didn’t think much regarding it, but later that night he walked home past the same ATM, tried once more and ended up with $1,300 in cash.

All the while, the ATM was giving a ‘transaction canceled’ message yet the money was coming out without taking any money from his bank account, thesun reported.

Between 1 and 3 a.m. ATMs are disconnected from the bank’s network in Britain, which allowed Dan to get unlimited money by transferring between his two accounts, and he continued to do this in the following days and it turned into an addiction for him.

And Dan started spending that money on drinks, food at the best restaurants and rave parties every weekend, and spent regarding 1.6 million Australian pounds (more than 33 million pounds), and bought a 20-seat private jet for his companion worth 50 thousand pounds. .

Dan was paraded with escorts and spent his life away enjoying expensive suits and caviar and champagne and once rented a minibus and stopped at all the small hotels in Melbourne to pick up people, then drove them to a large and amazing property he rented in the Yarra Valley where he hosted pool parties, and also paid some fees He taught his friends and sent a colleague to study in France.

But he eventually felt guilty and decided to call the bank to tell them what had happened. They told him the police would contact him regarding it, but they didn’t do so until he appeared on a news program detailing his lifestyle.

However, it was three years before Dan was arrested on 111 counts of fraud and theft, and following his arrest he spent a year behind bars and returned to work once more for $13.50 an hour.

In addition, he also tells his story in a new podcast called The Glitch by Podshape and available on Spotify.
