By 2023, 45% of organizations intend to invest more in security

A survey by Avantia, a technology company for electronic security, revealed that 45% of Brazilian companies plan to increase their investments in security. The study, which consulted regarding 50 organizations in the sector, highlights that 43% are focused on enhancing the technology of their devices and surveillance systems.

This trend is justified by data from the 2022 Brazilian Public Security Yearbook, which show a 6.5% increase in robberies at commercial establishments and 11% in robberies at financial institutions in the country. To protect themselves, companies are betting on strengthening their security systems, and technology is a great ally in this process.

Electronic monitoring enables process optimization

With the use of technological monitoring systems, equipped with artificial intelligence and conducted by trained professionals, it is possible to detect and alert, in real time, events that present risks or dangerousness, minimizing the possibility of losses and damages in the future. The technology identifies movement patterns, such as overstaying in areas such as entrances, queues, receptions and waiting rooms. It is also used to monitor the entry and exit of vehicles in specific locations.

Access control equipment make up the priorities

The main security solutions to be contemplated by the investments planned by the companies include: access control equipment, remote monitoring, 24-hour surveillance, fire detection systems and systems integration, in addition to resources that have analytical capabilities, such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.

In addition, several mechanisms enable access control and security related to the movement of people in private environments, without the need for an in-person team: voice command, biometrics, remote concierge and monitoring center.

All perimeter activities can be monitored simultaneously, allowing security guards to act immediately, alerting authorities or taking appropriate action. The artificial intelligence applied to these devices also helps to avoid triggering false alarms, which prevents unnecessary displacement of the security team.

In companies that offer remote concierge services, assistance is provided through an intercom associated with cameras, and monitoring is carried out in real time by a specialized operator.

In addition, administrators and employees can access the company using their fingerprint, TAG or virtual key available in the application. The application also provides access to monitoring images, management of visits and a panic button to request assistance in any event, all in real time.
