As the “Kronen Zeitung” reported on Monday, an edited parliamentary question regarding Operation “White Milk”, which was ultimately submitted by the FPÖ, was discovered on Ott’s cell phone.
It’s regarding the alleged Syrian torture general who received asylum in Austria. According to the files, “a document (pdf) was found on Ott’s cell phone containing a parliamentary question on the White Milk case.” Apparently, as the “Krone” quotes from the file, Ott made suggestions for changes (added passages and additional questions in red) to the documented document.
NEOS: “Russian spy Ott”
The request was submitted in 2020 by FPÖ National Councilor and General Secretary Christian Hafenecker. He now spoke to the newspaper regarding 460 parliamentary questions since the beginning of this legislative period. “It is a normal process that third parties are also involved in the preparation of inquiries, especially since grievances that are brought to our attention from outside are often discussed.” He was “not aware” that Ott apparently participated in one of these requests.
NEOS mandater Yannick Shetty saw the “Russian spy Ott” in even closer contact with the FPÖ than previously assumed. “The fact that he is also said to have written a parliamentary question for FPÖ MPs is a red line for us. This proves that Putin’s arm reached deep into the blue party,” he said. A Russia-U committee, which the NEOS is calling for, should now clarify all of this. Justice Minister Alma Zadić (Greens) also recently spoke out in favor of it.
The ÖVP saw its assessment confirmed. “Indications of connections between the suspected Russian spies in the direction of the FPÖ are expanding. Now FPÖ parliamentary group leader Christian Hafenecker is also in the middle of it,” said U-Committee parliamentary group leader Andreas Hanger in a broadcast. Secretary General Christian Stocker saw close confidants of Kickl sinking into the espionage swamp.
