Bremen (ots) Die BVL Supply Chain CX is the further development of the previous fixture of the German logistics community, the German Logistics Congress. In October 2024 it will take place as a much larger networking event with an expanded concept at the Estrel Congress Center Berlin. “CX” stands for “Congress” and “eXpo” as core components of the event.

“The decades-long success story of the German Logistics Congress is a strong basis for the modernized “Congress” format as part of the BVL Supply Chain CX,” said BVL CEO Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Wimmer. This means: There will be key notes and panel discussions with top-class guests on several main stages. The topics are deepened and discussed in workshops. The networking here focuses on executives, decision-makers and top managers in the business sector. The ticket includes attendance at the evening events with the awarding of the German Logistics Prize as well as meals. As an “All Access” ticket, the Congress ticket also entitles you to visit the “eXpo” area, where partners and brands present themselves. For the first time, the expo will be organized as a special format and is aimed at middle management and young professionals. In addition to over 120 different sized areas for exhibitors, high-quality content is offered on the “LogTech Stage”, among others. All participants will meet on Thursday evening at the big CX party in the Expo area. The target group has also expanded in terms of content: In addition to people and companies from the “closer” logistics community, the CX is aimed at everyone who contributes to functioning supply chains, especially from IT, HR, finance or insurance. In total, BVL, as the event organizer, expects up to 5,000 participants.

Seven key content areas

The content preparation for the BVL Supply Chain CX has already started. The project team has identified seven key topics, each of which will be represented through several formats such as keynotes, specialist sequences and also on the Expo stages and by the exhibitors. These include the digitalization of supply chains, artificial intelligence and machine learning, sustainability (e.g. circular economy and decarbonization), resilience and agility, the future organization of companies and associated people as well as markets, trends and strategies for logistics service providers and for providers of logistics technologies.

Unique format in the logistics sector

Project manager and BVL managing director Christoph Meyer explains the special feature of the new format: “The German Logistics Congress has been the meeting point of the logistics scene for almost 40 years. As BVL, we know the supply chains like no one else. We network, drive topics and projects forward, provide an overview and orientation. Just as supply chains change every day, we also move with the times. That’s why we have created a new format: The BVL Supply Chain CX. Here we offer a unique combination of content and lead Generation. We continue to be the only event that covers the entire logistics sector, including industry and trade. In addition, we are placing greater focus on logistics service providers and technology providers. The combination of high altitude – with topics such as geopolitics, energy transition or economic development – and concrete, Benefit-oriented input via master classes and best practice presentations is an absolute USP. In short: We are the ‘one-stop shop’ for all experts and managers in logistics and supply chain management and all related areas. We attach particular importance to opening the network and content to logistics enthusiasts and professionals who are not yet at the C-level.”

There will also be improved digital networking options in both the Congress and the eXpo area. The aim is to have a higher proportion of international guests among both speakers and participants. In addition to the high-quality content and an attractive exhibition, the aim is to create a positive atmosphere – fun and emotions should not be neglected. There is already great interest in the more spacious exhibition areas in the Estrel more than ten months before the event: around 70 of the over 120 available areas are currently booked or reserved. These are still available at “Early Bird” conditions until the end of February 2024.

Early bird tickets can now be booked

There will be a variety of ticket options for participants in the BVL Supply Chain CX, such as day tickets or cheaper expo tickets. “All Access” tickets for the entire event are now available at an early bird price www.bvl.de/cx/tickets

The BVL Supply Chain CX will take place from October 23rd to 25th, 2024 at Estrel Berlin.
