A iPlace announced a significant expansion of its program Buyback. Now, the company starts to accept used devices from other brands, in exchange for discounts on the purchase of any product in its stores throughout Brazil.
With Buyback, when returning an old device, the customer receives a discount voucher to be used on purchases at iPlace — even if the device is damaged and without the need to supply accessories.
To take advantage of the program in a brick-and-mortar store, customers need to bring their old device in for an evaluation, which is performed by a consultant. At the time, the value of the discount is determined and the customer can leave the store with their new product.
Buyback iPlace was the way we found to help consumers sell a device that no longer fits in their daily lives to an official channel, which, in addition to a discount voucher, will offer the correct destination for the phone.

The iPlace website also allows you to exchange devices. However, for now, the Buyback Online it currently only accepts iPhones in exchange for discounts on purchases through its online platform.
In practice, the customer sends the device and iPlace immediately provides a discount coupon on the amount of the reserved guarantee. This value, therefore, is reversed from the customer’s credit card following the device is received and evaluated by the company.
