MIAMI (AP) — Jimmy Butler scored just as time expired to give the Miami Heat a 118-116 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
Butler scored 28 points to help Miami split a two-game home series once morest Chicago. Kevin Love added 22 points, Mexican Jaime Jáquez Jr. added 18, Caleb Martin added 17 and Kyle Lowry finished with 10.
DeMar DeRozan led Chicago with 27 points, Coby White scored 22, Torrey Craig added 16, Patrick Williams added 15 and Nikola Vucevic finished with 12, in addition to grabbing 11 rebounds.
During the fourth quarter, there were four flips in the score, which was tied five times. The last one was with 31 seconds left, when Lowry scored on a layup.
Vucevic missed a hook shot on Chicago’s next drive, but Butler grabbed the rebound. The Heat, who had two breaks available, did not take advantage, and left the game in Butler’s hands.
Nobody else touched the ball once more.
