butane distributors announce a strike on April 18 and 19

Lhe Federation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) distributors in the Fez-Meknes region has decided to suspend all distribution of butane gas between April 18 and 19, contenting itself with sales in depots. According to a press release from the Federation, published on Tuesday, this decision comes in protest once morest the rise in the price of hydrocarbons.

“Distributors are experiencing a situation of instability due to the complexity of the procedures for obtaining warehouse authorizations, in accordance with the specifications of the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, in addition to other problems at the national level. , in particular the increase in the prices of the various spare parts, as well as insurance prices”the statement added.

The same source pointed out “the painful situation in the sector, due to the successive increases in diesel prices”indicating that the latter is considered an essential material in the process of distributing butane to salespeople.

Because of their « exclusion » subsidies administered to transport professionals, the gas distributors have announced the impossibility of accomplishing their missions, except in the event of intervention by the parties concerned.
