With the iPhone 15 being released a few weeks ago, no wonder the price of previous models has dropped. This is the opportunity to equip yourself with a 2-year-old “old” model: the iPhone 13, which was classified last year among the best in the Premium category, both for the quality of its photos and selfies and for that of its screen. So how can you resist such a bargain for €50?
The iPhone 13: a Premium at the top!
Son “small” 6.1 inch format is typical of Apple: the iPhone 13 fits in the palm of the hand, elegant and pleasant to the touch, with its straight aluminum edges, its glass shell and its apple logo, its “Ceramic Shield” screen so solid. And too bad for the fingerprints. And so much the better for its water and dust tightness, because it is certified with the best protection index: 68.
The slab is splendid: Super Retina OLED technology, XDR compatibility, Full HD+ images… No wonder it is in 5th place among the best screens of its year of release, in the opinion of reference tester Dxomark. It even comes in 3rd position for the quality of its selfies (in 12 Mpx), and is not left out for the quality of its photos and videos. Whether colors, brightness, or sound recording, the iPhone 13 really performs.
The photos taken with the dual 2×12 Mpx sensor (a wide-angle and an ultra-wide-angle) are remarkably precise and detailed, thanks to fast autofocus and a powerful optical stabilizer, especially for capturing moving subjects. Ditto for the x5 digital zoom. The whole thing boosted by a good dose of artificial intelligence and many image processing features. We also love the “Cinematic” mode of the videos shot in 4K at 60 fps, so effective for managing background blur.
Nothing would be possible without a high-performance processor: the Bionic A15 chip, which also perfectly manages call quality (in 5G of course), and wireless communication en Wi-Fi 6 (ax). When we looked carefully, we found a small flaw: even if the autonomy is rather good, we found the 20W charging a little slow.
