Many hundreds of family members, fighters, friends and residents of Jerusalem accompanied today (Friday) the late Sergeant Noam Chava to his eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl.
Sashon Chava, Noam’s father, mourned in tears at his grave: “How is it possible for a father to say Kaddish over his son? This is not normal. The creators turned over.’

Orna, his mother, paid tribute to him: “Noam went into the world smiling. Our prince… every Friday when he left the army he would bring me flowers. Last Friday he asked me to say Shabbat Shalom to my friends from the army on the phone and everyone was happy and laughed. He took care of everyone and everyone took care of him. We waited for him He will return and unfortunately I will continue to wait. I saw you today for the last time and kissed you. I mightn’t help it. You remain beautiful and stunning. We love you. We are all here with you. Rest in peace, I already miss you.”
The mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon, paid tribute to him at his funeral: “There is no more difficult moment than saying goodbye forever to a child. The Heba family has already known a very difficult loss like this in the past, and the words are weak from comforting and dulled by the intensity of the pain. Noam, the hero of Israel, fought without hesitation for one and only goal: security with the people Israel and the State of Israel. In a week, Noam was supposed to be released. Unfortunately for us, instead of this, a heavy mourning fell on Jerusalem… but the blessed of the city are its children.”
Brother Daniel paid tribute to him: “You planned to be released soon and fly to Europe, to see some football games. You wanted to devour the world, but fate prepared something else for us… I always learned from you how to bring everyone closer to you. You were an amazing friend. You always got along with everyone and always found Friends. When you were in Gaza, we heard how you make sure to raise morale and don’t let anyone break… How much we prayed for you, but now you left me alone. Whom will I be proud of anywhere? Life will never be the same, my little brother.”

“You were a people magnet”
Brother Tomer said on his grave: “My heart is bursting with pain and sorrow. You were the little brother of the family, but you were our head. The beloved son of the elders. You were an angel and we were privileged to live with you for 21 years. I hope you are celebrating up there… You grew up to be one of the most beautiful boys, didn’t you Only on the outside. On the inside you were full of happiness and joy. How much you went out, spent and enjoyed yourself. You were a magnet for people who everyone enjoyed… When the war started I was at a party in ‘Nova’ and you took care of me. After that I entered Gaza by myself and in every letter I received from home I wanted to hear regarding you and know that you were Okay… you left the world prematurely, you didn’t have time to fulfill your dreams.”
Uri, Noam’s MK, eulogized him: “We always took care of each other. This whole war we were together. We shared secrets that will go with us to the grave, it’s a shame that my secrets are already there with you. We also had plans to fly together. We wanted Berlin – we got Gaza. Haba, you are the definition of a friend for me. Always volunteers and always helps. Always looking for the weakest of all to help him and lift him up… Tonight I’m going back to Gaza, to the team, to finish what you didn’t manage to do.”

Noam is the son of Orna, the deputy director of Teli Pisgat Ze’ev, and the son of Shashon Chava, an employee of the Chava Telpiot bakery, my dear friends.’
