Businessman MA Yousafali has taken legal action against Shajan Skaria, the Malayali owner of the online portal Marunadan, alleging that he has spread fake news against him. The lawyer has sent a notice against Yousafali Shajan for defamation and breach of trust by making false allegations. The basis for the action is the video released on March 6 through Marunadan Malayali’s YouTube channel. Shajan himself made allegations against Yousafali through a video. The video was prefaced by mentioning that Yousafali and Shukur Vakiel say that a single civil code is necessary.
In a video, Shajan raised the allegation that Yousafali had remarried his own wife under the Special Marriage Act. But Yousafali says that this is untrue and that it was deliberately intended to defame him. Yousafali’s legal notice also points out the difficulties caused to him and the Lulu Group by the release of this video.

It has been requested through the notice to publish Nirvyajam Kheda within seven days of receiving the notice. 10 crores to be paid as compensation. The lawyer has also warned through the notice that civil and criminal proceedings will be initiated in case of default.
