A Meta today announced a series of new features for the WhatsApp which seek to further facilitate the interaction of companies with their customers, as well as facilitate payments through the messenger itself and improve identity verification on the platform.

The first resource this time is the Flows, which seeks to allow customers to carry out actions such as choosing a seat on transport, ordering a meal or making an appointment without abandoning the messenger. With the new feature, companies will be able to create forms, lists and other personalized menus that meet specific needs, facilitating and speeding up service.

The company led by Mark Zuckerberg also said that it will not charge separately for the Flows and is already testing it in Brazil with the Bread Bank and the Consórcio Magalu (Android devices only). The feature will be made available in the coming weeks to all companies on the WhatsApp Business Platform.

WhatsApp also announced It will soon be possible to make payments to businesses in the app using your favorite payment service that supports UPI (Unified Payment Interface), credit/debit cards and more. The resource, it is worth noting, is already available on Indiawhere it was launched in partnership with local companies Razorpay and PayU.

In addition, shortlyMeta will make available the Meta Verified, which was launched in February, also for companies. Subscription will be available first on Facebook e no Instagram in selected countries, but will soon be brought to WhatsApp — initially for small businesses.

In addition to increasing the confidence of potential customers, who can be sure that they are speaking to the right profile/number, the subscription will also offer some advantages to companies on these platforms. Verified businesses will gain, in addition to a badge next to their name, priority in the search tools on Meta networks and will be highlighted in a carousel that will appear in the Instagram feed.

On WhatsApp, businesses will also be able to create personalized pages that can be easily discovered through a web search and use WhatsApp from multiple devices. This way, more than one employee will be able to respond to customers in company conversations, for example.

Companies will be able to choose to subscribe to Meta Verified for just one service per US$22/month or to Facebook and Instagram at the same time for US$35/month. Meta has not yet released the price for the WhatsApp subscription.
