Asuncion, IP Agency.- Paraguay is hosting the 1st Semiannual Meeting for Updating and Coordination of the National Directorate of Entrepreneurship, dependent on the Vice Ministry of MSMEs, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, which will take place until this Friday. Representatives from academia, the public sector and organizations (triple helix) are participating.
This meeting addresses issues related to business development and the connection of services offered in technology centers. Participating are members of the National Development Agency of Uruguay (ANDE); organizations and representatives of Entrepreneur Support Centers from about 15 cities, including Concepción, Horqueta, Caaguazú, Ciudad del Este, Hohenau, Luque, Pilar and Asunción.
The agenda also includes guided tours of technology centres, an introductory presentation of the Operating Regulations of the Business Incubators, the Entrepreneur Support Centre and the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Project Portfolio.
It also includes training in the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) community toolkit for local diagnosis, and a discussion with ANDE Uruguay on good practices in the management of inter-institutional networks to support entrepreneurs, the “Red Uruguay Emprende”.
The head of the National Directorate of Entrepreneurship, Juan Paredes, highlighted that the innovative activity, which is being carried out for the first time in the country and is intended to be repeated every six months, is intended to increase the technical capabilities of the centers (CAE), generate in them a sense of ecosystem network, of interconnectivity and highlight the quality of what it means to have centers at a territorial level, with all the valuable information so that it can be provided to entrepreneurs and micro-entrepreneurs in the area.
“The idea of this meeting is to connect with actors in the ecosystem, to the available services to refer entrepreneurs,” said Juan Paredes.
